WILTSHIRE MATERNITY BELT
• A pelvic support belt with an elastic back section and two padded side straps, plus two variable tension straps

• Back depth 10cm ( 4"); front depth 8cm (3 ¼")
The Wiltshire Maternity Belt is designed to support the pelvic joints (the symphysis pubis joint at the front and the sacroiliac joints at the back), reducing strain on the joints and assisting pain relief. It can be used when standing and walking. It is not recommended for sitting or lying positions.

How to Apply - The belt can be used in either of the following positions (Option A or Option B) according to the advice of your physiotherapist.
Option A - (More support at the symphysis pubis):

1. Wrap the belt around the hip joints and close it using the Velcro fastening at the front.

2. Grip the wide elasticated straps on the outside of the belt and draw them forward to tighten the belt so that it feels comfortable and supportive.

3. The belt should lie below the abdomen, across the pubic bone at the front, and across the buttocks at the back.
Option B - (More support at the sacroiliac joints):

1. Place the belt over the sacroiliac joints at the back and wrap the straps around the pelvis, directing them forwards and downwards to lie under the lower abdomen and across the pubic bone. Close the belt using the Velcro fastening at the front.

2. Grip the wide elasticated straps on the outside of the belt and draw them forward to tighten the belt so that it feels comfortable and supportive.
